Complaint to Childrens Commissioner and Chief Censor Over Gay Pro-Abortion Propaganda, ’Hate Speech’, Defamation, Obscenities and Exploitation of Children in a YouTube Video.

The Society has today raised formal complaints with both the Office of the Childrens’ Commissioner Dr Cindy Kiro and the Chief Censor, Bill Hastings, over a Pro-Abortion, Obscenity-ladden YouTube(NZ) video that blatantly exploits young children. The promoter of this nasty objectionable publication via the GayNZ.com website is….

Craig Young a homosexual and regular contributor to this gay lobbyist website. He is a rabid supporter of womens’ rights to have abortion on demand and ”gay rights activist”.

He has vented his spleen in anger at the anti-abortionist group Right-to-Life (in particular its spokesman Ken Orr) because of its recent success in the High Court against the Abortion Supervisory Committee (ASC). The Judge ruled that the ASC had failed to fulfill its statutory duties (in part to safeguard the rights of the unborn) and that many of the approximately 18,000 abortions carried out in NZ each year, may well have been illegal.

The video depicts young children giving the fingers – a gesture utilised to mock and express hatred towards those who oppose abortion on demand. These provocations are regularly interspersed with cries of “F## You” and “You are a C###” accompanied by the provocative music of the band “Twisted Sister”.

Young expressed similar outrage some years back when five Judges the Court of Appeal unanimously ruled that the banning order against the Living Word “GayRights” Videos be quashed because they expressed nothing more than opinion. Young and his fellow gay activists were incensed, claiming that these sober, well-researched videos constituted actual hate speech, a view supported by the Chief Censor Bill Hastings. It was his decision as Deputy of the Film and Literature Board of Review, at the time, that first led to them getting banned. Following the Court of Appeal ruling the videos were reclassified as “unrestricted” by the Board and they can now be watched by anyone (including young people) interested in finding out about the real political and ‘moral’ motives that underscore the gay rights movement that Young belongs to and promotes.

The Society applauds Young’s right to have an opinion and express it in a free and democratic society, but it abhors the publication of objectionable and offensive content on a public website that shamelessly exploits children, uses obscene and vile language and demeans individuals in a manner that is defamatory etc.

The Society for the Promotion of Community Standards Inc. wishes to lodge a formal complaint with your Office against those responsible for the dissemination of offensive and exploitative use images of young children in the context of a nasty, vile, inflammatory and obscene video posted on You Tube and linked to a gay website and more specifically linked to a regular contributor to that website.

Mr Craig Young, a gay activist who contributes regularly to a religious/political column on the website has posted a comment on the website Forum directing readers to an objectionable YouTube clip that it would appear he is responsible for (see links below).

It uses images of young chldren givng the fingers, interspersed with obscene abuse such as “F### OFF:” etc. and “You are CU##” to attack Mr Ken Orr, Spokesperson for a NZ based organisation Right to Life and the organisation itself.

The vitriol in the video is directed at those who have sought to recently review the actions of the New Zealand Abortion Supervisory Committee (ASC) by way of a judicial review and who are opposed to abortion on demand. Much to the disgust of Mr Craig Young, Right to Life won the case and the Judge ruled that the ASC has failed in its statutory responsibilities and that many abortions carried out under its watch, almost 18,000 per year, may have been illegal.

Mr Craig Young is a rabid pro-abortionist who campaigns for abortion on demand. Within our democracy he is entitled to his views and to express them. However, his advocacy and promotion of this publication that exploits children to heap vile and obscene abuse on a NZ citizen and his organisation must be of concern to the Children’s Commissioner. We request that this complaint be dealt with promptly.

The degrading, dehumanising or demeaning of any person via a publication can constitute it “objectionable” or restricted under s. 3(3) of the Films, Videos and Publications Classification Act 1993 (“the Act”). Content that exploits children for sexual purposes is a matter that deems a publication objectionable. The sexual nature of terms of abuse such as “F### OFF” etc. brings this publication within s. 3(3A) of the Act “… contains highly offensive language likely t cause serious harm” and/or s. 3B “… is likely to be injurious to public good for specified reasons”.

The Society is lodging a separate complaint with the Chief Censor’s Office over the publication, highlighting the concerns raised above. However, we request that you deal with our concerns raised over the exploitation of children and the inappropriate use of children in the context of public obscenity etc.

Children have a right to not be exploited.

Theodore Robert ‘Ted’ Bundy (Nov 24, 1946 – Jan 24, 1989) raped and murdered scores of young women across the United States between 1974 and 1978. After more than a decade of vigorous denials, he eventually confessed to 29 murders, although the actual total of victims remains unknown. Typically, Bundy would rape his victims, and then murder them by bludgeoning, and sometimes by strangulation. He also engaged in necrophilia. He was convicted of killing 36 women and girls.

Bundy was executed in the electric chair at Florida State Prison in Starke Florida. He became a born-again Christian while he awaited execution on death row. He explains to Dr Dobson his deep sense of shame and remorse over his cimes and how, while in prison, he had found forgiveness for his sins through Jesus Christ and peace as he faced his “Valley of the Shadow of Death”. Bundy recognised that he deserved to die and that it was a just sentence. He eventually cooperated with law enforcement agencies and disclosed all the details he could recall about all the homicides he was involved in.

Dr James Dobson says that “circumstantial evidence is overwhelming” from numerous studies that there is a link between hardcore violent porn and violent sexual behaviour. For example, an FBI study he cites involving 36 serial convicted murderers, revealed that 81% of them (29 out of 36) had a long-term and predominate interest in violent hardcore pornography.

William Lane Craig is Research Professor of Philosophy at Talbot School of Theology (La Mirada, California). At the age of sixteen, Dr. Craig first heard the message of the Christian gospel and yielded his life to Christ. He has written extensively on the cosmological argument, Christian apologetics, divine omniscience and divine eternity. Dr. Craig lives in Atlanta, Georgia, with his wife Jan and their two teenage children.
