An American businessman, John Malcolm Carr (see photo: http://www.carr.co.nz/images/jmc.jpg ) faced eight charges as a company director under the Financial Reporting Act 1993 in the the Auckland District Court on 12 August 2010. His lawyer Alan Bevan McKay of Checketts McKay Law, Cromwell, successfully sought an adjournment of the case until Tuesday 31 August 2010. Concerns have been raised by the Society with the National Enforcement Unit (Report dated 19/08/09) over information registered on the Companies Office website by CVC Group Ltd director John Malcolm Carr relating to a number of companies he directs. Mr Carr has close links with fellow CVC Group Ltd director Stephen Peter Crow (Steve Crow aka “NZ Porn King”)
